What began as a family story has become a collection, yet the spirit of Coussinyet remains the same. Still intimate, personal, and timeless. Inspired by coussinet, the French word for “little cushion”, it also carries another meaning: ‘paws.’ A name that speaks to softness, luxury, and the comfort of every member of the home.

Born in Paris
Coussinyet was born in 2018, in the heart of Paris.
At first, it was never meant to be a brand. It was a family project — something small, intimate, and deeply personal. A way of weaving comfort and beauty into our own home.
Paris taught us that design is not just about aesthetics — it’s about rhythm, proportion, and quiet harmony. We grew up surrounded by objects made with care, where nothing was rushed and every detail mattered.
That sense of intimacy was the seed of Coussinyet.
2020
USA: A New Beginning
When life brought us to the United States, everything expanded — the spaces, the architecture, the lifestyles.
We found ourselves in extraordinary homes: Palm Beach with its breezy elegance, the Hamptons with their quiet sophistication, New York with its striking modernity.
These homes were extraordinary. Curated. Elegant.
But one thing always felt missing.
The pillows.
They were too often an afterthought — decorative but not meaningful, pretty but not profound. They lacked refinement. They lacked a soul.
We realized: if everything else in these homes was so intentional, why should pillows be any different?
2024
Finding the Perfect Recipe
In France, luxury is discreet.
It is found in the texture of linen, the weight of a fabric, the precision of a seam. It is quiet, never shouting, never rushed.
We wanted to bring that philosophy into the spaces we encountered.
So we began experimenting — sketching, sewing, touching, reworking. For months, we tested fabrics, visited factories, and created countless prototypes.
After years of refining, we found the formula that became the signature of Coussinyet:
Designed in France. Made in the United States.
2025
Expanding the Vision
Soon, Coussinyet grew beyond just pillows.
We introduced matching dog beds — because beauty and comfort should belong to everyone in the home, not just some.
This wasn’t about accessories anymore. It was about creating an atmosphere. An experience. A way of living with softness and refinement, every day.
